English Speakers of Other Language (ESOL)
We work to build confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing English and develop study skills in a friendly and welcoming classroom setting. We work to help make learners ‘college ready’ in a community venue where they feel safe and comfortable. Our curriculum is informed by the needs of the learners and we work to embed skills for everyday life, connect people to services and develop confidence and self-esteem. Recent topics have included;

In addition we work with partner organisations who come into our classes to engage with and share information with our learners. Recent speakers have included; TMBC Neighbourhood Community Safety Team, Action Together, Health Watch Tameside, GM Fire and Rescue Service Fire Prevention Education, Healthy Minds Tameside and Glossop.
